Bonnie Gaster, 2015 SAR President would like to Recognize ALL Veterans!

Dear Fellow REALTORS®,
Convalescing at home for the last few days it has given me time to reflect on some of the more meaningful things which I have experienced over the course of the last few months. Of course, my time in service as the President of your Association has truly been one of the most rewarding times for me professionally. However, while watching a news story this morning I was reminded of the true meaning of service which I witnessed back on June 19 at the Homecoming Celebration at Ft. Stewart. As the Vietnam Veterans were recognized it gave me chills to realize that these are heroes who no longer are recognizable by a uniform, rather they live and work among us each and every day.

This morning’s story touched me personally and I would like to reach out to you to join me in sending a message to those brave men and women to show that our community appreciates their service and sacrifices. Greenlight a Vet is one way in which we can send that message. Simply change one light bulb for a green one in your home or at your office and keep it glowing every day through the end of the month. Then, take a picture of your green light and post it on the Savannah Area REALTORS® Facebook page.

Green light bulbs are available at the Board office for anyone who would like to join me in this effort. Stop by and pick one, two or three up, there is no cost. Just burn them brightly this Veteran's Day until the end of the month or as long as you would like.

......The message should be loud and clear that we support our active duty service members and our veteran's.

Let them shine, let them shine, let them shine!

Thank you for sharing this most personal reflection with me.
